The performance by students of the Berlin State Ballet School was a contribution to the Long Night of Operas and Theaters (Lange Nacht der Opern und Museen) in April 2011 in Berlin, Germany. The photos were commissioned by Performing Arts Review Taipei, Taiwan, that reported on the event.

Chopiniana is a short, non-narrative ballet blanc. Its original choreography was by Michel Fokine, with music by Frédéric Chopin orchestrated by Alexander Glazunov. The ballet, often described as a "romantic reverie", was indeed the first ballet ever to be simply that. It has has no plot, but instead consists of many white-clad sylphs dancing in the moonlight with the poet or young man dressed in white tights and a black top. (from Wikipedia)
